LAND LEASE EXTENSION UPDATE:
IMPORTANT MEMO TO: PALM REGENCY HOMEOWNERS
Homeowners: As of April 12th, 2012
We wanted to bring you up to date on the current status of the Indian land lease extension. Unfortunately, we have recently been informed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) that we must have a cost of living review/adjustment of the land rents no later than 2015. Our current (approved and signed) renewal agreement calls for a review in 2017.
As we understand it, we will now have to either amend or redo the agreement to reflect that change.
The bad news is that we will now go back to all three Indian landowners to have them agree to the new change.
The good news, if we can find any at this point, is that the BIA which is now "up to speed" and familiar with our extension will be able to "fast track" it once the change has been approved by the three Indian landowners.
We are sorry to have to relay more bad news at this point, but we are at least one step closer to the conclusion of this long and arduous process.
We encourage you to monitor the Palm Regency Website (www.palmregencyhoa.com) for updates on this or other matters affecting your association.
